We at Executive K9 take training seriously because somebody's life is on the line. Our program is one of the most intense out there.
First it starts with the selection of the dog. Only the strongest in fight drive and confidence will receive this training. We custom
import the dog suitable for each handler. Our dogs are then checked by a vet to ensure they are in top performance including any
genetic issues. Then we start the six week patrol training program. Its not only challenging for the dog but challenging for the
handler. We bring the training as real as possible while maintaining safety at all times. The patrol program consists of the following
but not limited to:
Aggressive bite: This is where the suspect is an obvious threat. The suspect is not co-operating by yelling or being physically
aggressive. These exercises are done with bites and muzzle fighting.
Passive bite: These are the most dangerous because the suspects demeanor is calm but not co-operating with the handlers
commands. Even when someone is passive and have been instructed to show their hands but refuse to, this makes them a threat.
These exercises are done with bites and muzzle fighting.
Area Search: The suspect runs into a backyard with vegetation around the perimeter. The dog can locate the suspect much quicker
and safer then a human searching. We train on larger areas to give the dog the upper hand when searching. This exercise is done
with a bite and muzzle fighting.
Building Searches: Whether your searching one room or twenty we give the dog the experience to search and locate the suspect in a
small or large building. This exercise is done with bites and muzzle fighting.
Tracking: The suspect flees over grass, pavement, dirt, water and any other surface you face in the real world our dogs will find them.
Our final track is 1.5 - 2 miles with a bite at the end.
Article search: The suspect flees and discards of weapons, drugs or any other evidence then the dog will search and down by the
object. We use many surfaces to give the dog the experience. Examples of articles used are 9mm bullet, glove, weapons, or any other
article that can be used for evidence.
On Leash Obedience, Off Leash Obedience, Tactical Obedience: The obedience is everything from obedience on a leash to tactical off
leash obedience in which includes hand signals from a distance.
Muzzle fighting is very important for the dog to realize that even without the use of the biting he can still win the fight.
The patrol program is not just for the dogs we import. If a handler has a dog and can pass our test then we will happily train them for
patrol. At the end of training the handler will receive a certificate of completion for all of these exercises.
The starting cost of our patrol program with us importing and including the complete physical by a vet including a Penn hip exam is
$8500.
The cost of us doing the training with the handler supplying his/her dog is $4500.
